frequently asked questions

How much are the delivery costs?
Delivery is free for purchases over R300.00 and couriered via Berco Express.  Photographic prints are sent via Speedmail from post office to post office. If you need an overnight service there is a charge for costs over and above economy freight.
Will the print fade or lose colour?
Inks are guaranteed not to fade for 75 years under normal indoor lighting conditions.
Do your canvas prints have a protective coating?
Yes, our canvas prints are sprayed with a special protective coating that will protect them from dusting and cleaning.
What colour profile must I apply to my image?
We work in sRGB. If you send us another colour profile we will convert to sRGB because we are accustomed to getting the correct colours through from prepress to printer using these SRGB colour profiles.
What media can you reproduce from?
We can print from colour or black & white negatives, photographs or slides. In fact, if there is an image that needs reproducing, we can do it.
Can you work from old photographs?
Old photographs, drawings and paintings can be scanned and printed. The results are often better than the original.
Can you remove blemishes from pictures?
Yes, minor blemishes can be removed; we can also rejuvenate pictures. For images that need a lot of editing, an additional fee will be charged.
What resolution do you print at?
Various materials need to be printed at different DPI (dots per square inch) depending on the porosity of the material. Our results are always of the highest quality.
Do you attach hooks and string or any other type of hanging accessory, or will the client have to do this?
Canvas frames are hung straight from the top box frame profile. Mounted prints are hung directly off the raiser bars. Acrylic prints come with special wall mounts that are used to fix to the wall.
Do you offer Professional Photographers a service?
Yes, we create long lasting relationships and get to know your preferences. This ensures that we work to your specific requirements. Special online accounts can be set up for our clients.
Are the sizes on the price sheet for the white frames the photo size plus frame or the finished size? (ie an A4 frame may actually have an A5 photo in it?)
The finished size is bigger, when  ordering you specify the image size and then we add matt board and frame profile to the ordered image.
